This
is the finished look of my ‘Aquinas’ contents page. Again, I wanted to keep the
contents page, looking very busy and have allot of varieties to look forward
too. The editor’s letter is at the bottom of the page, on top of the very noticeable
guitar. I tried to make it sound like the style of the magazine rather than how
I actually speak, but still wanted to readers to know who they are reading from
and get an understanding of why I made the magazine. Also I tried to make it
sound like I was a woman, as my magazine is mainly focused on a target audience
of a female viewer. The largest picture on the contents page is the guitar,
which means that it is the main feature of the magazine; ad is also a completion
to win a free guitar, which is great for people who love music, seeing as this
is a music/fashion magazine.
Also
under each image, there is a number next to it, to give the reader a better
navigation, to where the article is in the magazine. I have also put it on the
left hand side of the page, with a small description of the article, so that
the viewers have a short summary of the article and decide whether they want to
read the article. There are also different pictures link in with the music
genre, and will also allow the reader to see a glance at who will be featured
in the magazine. I have also used, red as the main colour scheme for the
contents page, as it makes the headlines and the features title, stand out for
the audience to make the contents pages to look very clear for the reader to
see and locate where the articles are. The contents are split into sections, so
the reader has a clear view on what are on the contents page. There is also a
small advertisement, for a 10% discount of TopShop, which will also attract
younger female girls who are in college and need clothes for college, and will
want to buy the magazine, so they can see more of will be said about the advertisement.
